From among my many hobbies, reading is something I absolutely love. That’s the thing about books; it takes you to different worlds whilst sitting in one place. It’s my escape from reality. I have always been a reader, ever since I was a child. Looking through old school records, teachers have always had me written down as the quiet girl with a book in her hands.

As I grew older, the books I adored were Enid Blyton’s classic The Famous Five or The Secret Seven, and then came along my love for Jacqueline Wilson books. Wow, those were the days. But what really got me into reading, probably won’t come as a shock to many, but yes my dear friends; it was none other than good old Harry Potter. The funny thing is, I read Goblet of Fire first. I never knew it was part of a series. I just went into my sister’s room one day and thought, ooohh this book looks good and so I read it. Instantly, I fell in love with it, fell in love with the magical world. It was then my sisters told me that it was part of a series and they then gifted me the first three books, which I had read over two weekends.

From there on, my love for books has indeed increased, and I do not regret it.
